Just Keep Going!

When you hit a creative block…Just keep going.  Eventually you will rise above it, get out of it, break your creative ceiling!!  In theory it’s supposed to work anyway!  In this case I’m not exactly thrilled with this piece, but it has served a purpose in helping me break through and keep going in the creative process….Like Nike says “Just Do It”!!

Wow, what a stunning painting of two sparrows amid a blossoming tree. Your joyous blue sky is rich and energizing! I was attempting to google a paralegal of the same name and your website came up, so I clicked onto it and I’m so glad I did! I paint in colored pencils so I was naturally interested in an artist’s website. Thank you for putting this up; it has brightened my morning already! Oh, I haven’t explored the rest of your site yet, but it looks great! Is it really so bad to experience a block for only two days? I do agree, you must just “keep going” – sometimes the key is to forget about the mental demand on yourself that your next painting must be your best painting, and just put pencil to paper, or brush to canvas. We all have our own expectations for ourselves; for me – true, but a hobbyist – a finished drawing and a cartoon a month is a good month – it adds up over time!

Thank you for the comment! True, 2 days is not a big block!
