My Lemon Tree

You know, when you get an idea for a painting, it is very hard to sit still, concentrate or do anything else but think about that painting.  In this case, I’ve been thinking about painting my lemon tree for about two years.  It’s good to know, what I saw then, turned out the way I wanted, even after all of this time.   I hope you enjoy this, it was a pleasure and loads of fun to paint.  Especially because I could use my photos, and go out to my yard and see the real thing.

This painting is available on Ebay, and you may enter the auction site by clicking on the image.  Peace and prayers…

Sparrows Revised

Sorry to keep posting this same challenging painting..but nothing about it was working for me..so I revised it, shot it in different lighting and feel much happier…onward to painting!

To Watermark or Not?

To watermark or not seems to be the big question.  I notice many successful artists do not watermark their artwork, and have no worries or concerns about people downloading their images.  I guess if someone really needed to download an image because they could not afford to buy an original painting or print, it would not break the bank…but what if thousands of people did it?  What if hundreds of thousands of people did it?

Nowadays with wireless high quality image printers, anyone can make a print.  Anyone can copy the image, upload it, and put it on anything they want to.  And, even if you do watermark the image, if someone wants it badly enough, they are going to Photoshop the watermark out!

Daydreaming

New painting completed today..16″ x 20″..called “Daydreaming”  I wondered when I was painting this pelican, if he ever had daydreams about being an Eagle!  This painting is painted my new pallette of colors, more vivid, and much more risky!    Enjoy!
